Our Story
Fair Winds Consulting was founded on the belief that nonprofits deserve more than good intentions — they deserve strong strategy, steady leadership, and operational clarity. We help organizations navigate change, uncertainty, and growth, enabling them to focus on making a meaningful impact.
Meet Jamie Devlin — Founder & Principal Consultant
Jamie Devlin is a seasoned nonprofit leader with deep expertise in executive management, fundraising, change management, and operations. His career spans decades of guiding both local and national nonprofits through some of their most challenging and transformative moments.
One standout chapter in Jamie’s career was his leadership at the American Red Cross, where he conducted an operational assessment that ultimately merged five independent chapters into a single, stronger regional entity, turning organizational friction into streamlined collaboration.
Before founding Fair Winds Consulting, Jamie served as National Vice President for Community Engagement at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where he led his team through the uncharted waters of COVID-era fundraising. By rethinking the way community events were viewed and executed, Jamie helped MDA navigate unprecedented change without losing sight of its mission.
Jamie has also held senior leadership roles at the American Heart Association, Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, and, of course, the American Red Cross. At every stop, he’s been the steady hand nonprofits rely on when the course ahead is unclear.
Jamie holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor’s in Economics from James Madison University.
